The plan is data only. Your own number stays on your physical SIM, so calls and SMS keep working the way they always did. If you need a number for WhatsApp or Telegram, keep your home SIM in the phone and let the eSIM carry the data.

Pricing depends on how much data you take, not on which of the covered countries you use it in. That is the part travellers usually get wrong: a single-country plan is cheaper per gigabyte, but the moment you cross one border it stops being the cheaper option.
When a regional plan actually beats a local one
Take a regional plan if your trip touches two countries or more, if your plans might change mid-trip, or if you are travelling by train or car and will pass through countries you did not plan for.
Take a single-country plan if you are flying in and out of one place and staying put. In that case, open the page for your destination instead. Same eSIM, same checkout, lower price per gigabyte.
Which networks you connect to
The eSIM connects to local carriers in each country, the same masts your phone would use with any other travel eSIM. In practice you get 4G almost everywhere and 5G in most large cities. Your phone picks the network automatically when you land, and you do not have to touch any settings.
Speed is honest but not magic. On a busy evening in central Barcelona you share the same cell as everyone else. What you avoid is the roaming bill and the trip to a shop with your passport.
Registration rules in Europe
Several European countries require identity registration when you buy a local SIM card. Spain has required it since 2007, Germany and Italy have their own versions, and in every case the rule applies to the local carrier selling you a local line.
A travel eSIM is a roaming profile from a different operator, so you are not registering a Spanish or Italian line at all. That is why you can be online in twenty minutes after landing without finding a shop, and why we never need your documents.

Before you pay, check your phone
Your phone has to support eSIM and it must not be carrier locked. Most iPhones from XR onwards, recent Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel models are fine. Two minutes on the compatibility page saves an awkward moment at the airport.
Install the eSIM at home, on wi-fi, before the trip. The plan starts counting when you first connect at your destination, not when you scan the QR.

Do I need an account or an email address?
No. You pick a plan, pay in crypto, and the QR code appears on the page. Nothing is emailed to you because we never ask for an email.
Does it include calls and SMS?
No, these are data plans. Your existing number stays on your physical SIM and keeps working for calls and messages.
Will it work in the UK and Switzerland?
Check the country list above. Coverage follows the plan, not the EU border, so some non-EU countries are included and a few EU countries may not be.
What happens when my data runs out?
You top up the same eSIM by its ICCID on this site, or buy another plan. You do not have to install anything again.
Is a no-KYC eSIM legal in Europe?
Buying one is. You are using a roaming profile from a foreign operator, which is the same thing that happens when your home SIM roams. Local registration laws apply to local lines, and this is not one. More on that here.
